Bridge Scholars Program
2025 Dates: August 4 - 14
Move-In Date: August 3
Optional Activities: August 18-Start of NSO (New Student Orientation)
The Bridge Scholars Program is a year-long initiative that includes a two-week residential experience designed to offer a supportive community, personalized faculty, staff, and peer mentoring, and challenging coursework that prepares students to thrive on the Block. Participants arrive on campus two weeks before New Student Orientation begins, and they enroll in a co-taught, two-week interdisciplinary course. During the summer co-curricular programming, students deepen engagement with campus resources, collaborate with faculty, staff, and peer mentors, and actively engage in the dynamic CC community. That engagement continues across the first year through programs like Pathways to SCoRE, Outdoor Leadership, and peer-mentoring events.
Students who join the Bridge Scholars Program benefit from
- The opportunity to learn study habits and time management skills that are crucial to thriving on the Block’s student-centered learning
- Pathways to funded opportunities for collaborative research, Outdoor Leadership, and community-engaged internships
- Gaining stronger financial literacy and learning how to navigate financial aid systems
- Learning how to build connections at residential liberal arts college campus
- Meaningful relationships with peers, faculty, and staff that set Bridge scholars up for success across all four years and beyond.
Bridge Scholars become important student leaders at CC because of the confidence acquired during the two-week residential program, the robust mentoring network, and the meaningful connections with Bridge Scholars alumni. The Bridge Scholars Program empowers students to take full advantage of the opportunities available at CC. For more information on joining our community of scholars, contact Jarred Wiehe.
