Eric Wicks is honored to join the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ music department as Shove Chapel organist. Since 2013, Eric has served on the staff of First Lutheran Church in the Old North End, and is currently the minister of worship and music with responsibilities including leading the 70-voice adult choir, playing organ and piano for worship services, providing audiovisual support for the church, and collaborating with both professional and volunteer musicians.
At a very young age, Eric knew he wanted to become an organist, and began his studies with John McCreary at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral in Honolulu, Hawaii. Eric also studied with Kraig Scott at Walla Walla College in Washington State before receiving both bachelor’s and master’s degrees with Todd Wilson at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
Locally, Eric has appeared with the Colorado Chamber Players and as an organ and harpsichord soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs. He also plays harpsichord with Parish House.
